Simple step-by-step help for finding tools, using text and files safely, understanding processing, saving results and solving common problems.

Welcome to the FreeToolsWeb Help Center. This guide explains the basics in simple steps. You do not need a public account to find and use the tools currently available on the site.

Start here

If this is your first visit, follow these three steps:

Find a tool by using the search box or opening a category.
Open the tool and read its short instructions and processing notice.
Add your text, number or file, run the tool and review the result before saving it.

Find the right tool

Use “Find a tool” when you already know what you want to do. Type a simple task such as “count text”, “resize image”, “PDF” or “calculator”. You can also open All tools and browse the categories. Search results only show tools that have been reviewed and published.

Use a short search phrase instead of a full question.
Try a category if the first search does not show the result you expected.
Open the tool page to confirm that it supports the exact task and file type you need.

Before using a tool

Read the information shown on the tool page. Check what the tool does, which formats or values it accepts, whether there is a file-size limit and whether processing is local, server-side or hybrid. Do not continue if the instructions do not match your task.

Use a tool step by step

Although every tool has its own controls, the normal flow is straightforward:

Enter or paste the requested text, number or value, or choose the requested file.
Select any options you need, such as format, size or calculation mode.
Press the main action button once and wait for the result.
Read the result or preview it carefully.
Copy or download the result only after checking that it is correct.

Text tools and calculators

For text tools, paste only the text needed for the task and review line breaks, character counts or transformed content before copying it. For calculators and converters, confirm the input unit, decimal separator and output unit. A small input mistake can change the final answer, so verify important calculations independently.

Image, PDF and file tools

Keep the original file before making any change. Confirm that the file type and size are supported, choose the correct option and wait until processing finishes. Do not close the page while a server-side operation is running. After downloading the result, open it and check its quality, pages, dimensions or format before deleting the original.

Keep an untouched backup of important files.
Use clear filenames so the original and result are easy to identify.
Try a smaller file if an upload is rejected because of its size.
Never assume a converted file is correct without opening it.

Understand where processing happens

A local tool works in your browser and does not send the task input to FreeToolsWeb through that tool. A server-side tool sends the required input to the server to complete the operation. A hybrid tool uses both methods. The notice on the individual tool page is the best source for that tool's behavior, permissions and expected retention.

Protect private information

Use the minimum information needed for the task. Avoid entering passwords, secret keys, banking details, medical records, identification documents or confidential business data unless the tool explicitly supports that use and you understand its processing notice. FreeToolsWeb support will never need your password or secret key to investigate a normal problem.

Save or download a result

Downloaded files normally go to the download folder configured in your browser. If you cannot find a result, open the browser's downloads list and look for the most recent file. Rename the file after checking it, move it to the correct folder and keep the original until you are certain the result is usable.

If a tool does not work

Try these simple checks before contacting support:

Read any message shown beside the field or file.
Confirm the input type, required fields and file-size limit.
Refresh the page once and try again.
Try a smaller file or simpler input.
Use an up-to-date version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
Check the internet connection when the tool uses server processing.
If a browser extension blocks the page, test in a private window with only trusted extensions.

Do not repeatedly press the action button while a file is processing. This can start the same task more than once or make it harder to understand the original problem.

Use on a phone or tablet

The public pages are designed to adapt to smaller screens. Open the menu button to reach navigation, use the language selector in the header and scroll inside the page when a tool has several controls. For large files or detailed previews, a computer may be easier to use. Make sure the browser has permission to select and download files when the tool needs it.

Change the language

Open the language selector in the header and choose one of the available languages. English is the default version at the main site address. Localized pages use their own addresses so they can be bookmarked and indexed correctly. If a translation is unclear, switch to English and report the text that needs correction.

Accounts and sign-in

Visitors do not need a public account for the current tool catalog. The administrator sign-in is only for the person operating the website and is not required for normal tool use. FreeToolsWeb will not ask a public visitor to create an administrator account to download a normal result.

Contact support

If the problem continues, email support@desenvolvedor.org. Include the tool name, the page address, your browser, your device type and a simple description of what you expected and what happened. If an error message appeared, copy the message exactly. Do not attach the original sensitive file, a password, a secret key or private personal information. Support can explain how the site works and investigate a technical problem, but it cannot guarantee a particular result from every file or provide professional legal, medical or financial advice.
