Cookie Policy
Learn how the cookie acknowledgement works and how configured Analytics, advertising and trusted scripts operate independently of the saved choice.
The FreeToolsWeb cookie notice appears on public pages until the visitor records a choice. It explains that configured analytics, advertising and trusted scripts are treated by the site operator as necessary for operating, measuring and supporting the service and therefore load independently of the saved cookie choice.
Your choices
On a first visit, the banner offers “Accept necessary” and “Accept all”. Both choices allow normal access to the public tools and close the banner after the acknowledgement is stored. “Accept necessary” records that only the technologies classified by the operator as necessary are acknowledged; “Accept all” records acceptance of all cookies. The choice does not disable configured analytics, advertising or trusted operational scripts. The Cookie Policy keeps a non-floating preference panel where the visitor can review and change the saved acknowledgement later.
Necessary cookies
Necessary technologies support operation, security, measurement and funding of the service. They can include the PHP session cookie, the first-party preference cookie and any Analytics, advertising or trusted scripts enabled by the operator. Public visitors do not need an administrator account. Each configured third-party provider can process data under its own published terms and policies.
Cookie preference
The first-party cookie named ftw_cookie_consent stores either “all” or “essential”. It does not contain tool input, a name, an email address or a public account identifier. It lasts for up to 180 days unless the visitor changes the choice, deletes browser data or the browser removes it earlier. If the cookie is missing or expires, the full banner appears again.
Analytics
Analytics is disabled until the operator configures and enables a real implementation. Once enabled, it loads on eligible public pages independently of whether the saved choice is “all” or “essential”. The provider may process technical identifiers, usage information and cookies according to its own documentation and the operator's configuration.
Advertising
Advertising scripts remain optional. Even when the operator enables one, FreeToolsWeb does not render it until the visitor accepts optional cookies. An advertising provider may then use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers under its own policy. The live operator must keep this page accurate for every provider actually used.
Tool storage
An individual tool may use browser storage when needed for its declared function, such as remembering an unfinished local preference. The processing notice on that tool's page should explain its behavior. A local tool does not send its task input to FreeToolsWeb through the tool, but the visitor's browser, extensions and device remain separate technologies.
Change or withdraw a choice
To change the saved acknowledgement, use the controls on this Cookie Policy page. Selecting either option replaces the existing preference and closes the notice. Changing or deleting the ftw_cookie_consent cookie does not disable configured analytics, advertising or trusted scripts; deleting it only makes the initial notice appear again.
Browser controls and contact
Most browsers allow cookies to be viewed, blocked or deleted. Blocking all cookies can affect administrator sign-in or other necessary functions.
