Merge PDF files online

Combine PDF files in the exact order you want with a fast, private merger.

Drop your PDFs here

Add two or more PDF files and arrange them before merging.

PDF only · up to 20 files · 50 MB each

Your PDFs are processed only in this browser. They are never uploaded to FreeToolsWeb or a third-party server.

Why merge PDF files in your browser

Merge reports, scans, invoices or chapters into one PDF. Add your files, check the first-page previews, change their order and download the combined document.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Choose at least two PDF files or drop them into the box.
  2. Drag files or use the arrow buttons to set the final order.
  3. Select Merge PDF, review the result and download the combined file.

Formats and practical limits

Use up to 20 valid, unlocked PDFs, with 50 MB per file, 100 MB per batch and 1,000 pages. Processing speed and memory use depend on your device.

Privacy by design

PDF bytes stay in browser memory. Analytics events contain only general actions and counts—never files, names or document contents.

What you get

  • Private browser-only processing
  • First-page preview and page count
  • Drag-and-drop plus accessible reordering
  • No watermark, signup or daily quota

Common ways to use a PDF merger

Reports and proposals

Place a cover, sections and appendices in one document that is easier to review and share.

Scans and forms

Combine pages captured in separate scans and put the complete form in the correct order.

Invoices and receipts

Bundle monthly records or expense evidence into one PDF for filing or reimbursement.

Applications and portfolios

Join forms, certificates and work samples without sending the source files to a server.

A reliable PDF merging workflow

Put files in the right order

The list order becomes the page order in the result. Use previews, file names and page counts to check covers, chapters and attachments before merging.

Know what is preserved

Pages are copied without rasterizing them, so text and graphics keep their original quality. A merged file is still a new document, so bookmarks, form behavior and signatures can change.

Work within safe browser limits

This tool accepts PDF only, up to 20 files, 50 MB per file, 100 MB per batch and 1,000 pages. Large jobs depend on the memory available on your device.

Before you share the result

  • Open the downloaded PDF and confirm the page order.
  • Check links, forms and bookmarks if the originals used them.
  • Do not rely on signatures from the source PDFs after merging.
  • Keep the original files until the combined copy is verified.

PDF merging questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. File reading, previewing and merging happen in your browser. Closing or resetting the page removes the files from the tool.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No. Unlock encrypted PDFs with an authorized tool first, then add the unlocked copies here.

Will quality change after merging?

Page dimensions and original page content are copied without image recompression. Interactive forms, bookmarks and digital signatures may not remain valid in a newly combined PDF.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

You can merge up to 20 unlocked PDFs, with 50 MB per file, 100 MB per batch and 1,000 pages total. Large jobs also depend on the memory available on your device.

Can I change the PDF order before merging?

Yes. Drag whole files or use the up and down buttons while checking each first-page preview. This tool orders complete files; it does not rearrange individual pages inside a file.
